On Monday, CD Burriana celebrated its promotion to the Third Division with great fanfare following their victory over the weekend at the Campo de Fútbol Municipal Joan Bautista Planelles, which was filled with excitement as it had not been for years. The celebration was shared with the fans, who have supported the team throughout the season, transitioning from a formal reception at the Town Hall to a more relaxed atmosphere at the Satine building, where no detail was overlooked, culminating in a perfect blend of harmony and fun.

After eleven years, the sky-blue team will play its thirtieth season in the Third Division—a milestone that fans celebrated in grand fashion, filling the Plaza Mayor of Burriana to honor their heroes who achieved this well-deserved promotion.

Burriana’s Mayor, Jorge Monferrer, along with the municipal corporation, welcomed the players and management at the Town Hall and congratulated them on their achievement. CD Burriana’s President, Carlos Collado, Coach Óscar Calleja, and team captain, Ángel Chumillas, expressed their satisfaction during their speeches. The subsequent appearance on the balcony was a joyful explosion of happiness as the players celebrated with an enthusiastic crowd.

Festive Finale

The celebration for the team, management, fans, family, and friends continued at the team sponsor’s building, Satine. The atmosphere was one of complete satisfaction, with a lively DJ and speaker providing the perfect music for each moment. Everyone present enjoyed a generous feast.

Adding to the celebration, the building featured a recreation of Parris, a legendary local bar that had closed due to the pandemic. Pedro, the bar’s heart and soul, made a special appearance for the day, allowing players and their supporters to indulge in the famous hamburgers and hot dogs that had made the bar renowned. Alongside the catering prepared for the event, Pedro and Chef Gustavo from Almassora prepared over 200 hamburgers and a hundred sausages.

The evening extended into the night as no one wanted to leave this unique moment that would become a cherished part of CD Burriana’s history.
