The various scenes, enhanced with day and night lighting, music, and sound effects, transform into true theatrical pieces.

Santa Claus’s House in Burriana will open its doors this Friday, and among the many new features this year, one stands out prominently: a unique nativity scene, a true handcrafted gem depicting different passages from the childhood of Jesus Christ. This mechanized nativity scene features over 300 figures, 50 of which are animated, bringing the scenes to life.

Spanning 15 square meters, the nativity scene faithfully reflects the reality of Jesus’s birth and the human life of the time in all its detail. The overwhelming authenticity captivates visitors, drawing them into the scene and evoking sensations that transport them to that era.

2 Months of Setup

Its creator is Juan Poré, the father of the local artist of the same name, who has brought to life a sculptural masterpiece that took him no less than two months to set up. This unique nativity scene will be available for free viewing as part of the Santa Claus House tour at the Satine building in Plaza Mayor, Burriana.

Poré began this exceptional nativity scene 40 years ago, earning numerous awards and becoming a major Christmas attraction. This is a chance to experience it live and see how the artist has crafted a piece of our land, bringing it to life with plants and trees, flowing rivers with real fish, water mills, and ponds. The scene includes caves and rugged landscapes where houses of a bustling village rise, depicting the daily activities, customs, and traditions of the time.

Artisan trades are vividly represented: the woodcutter chopping trees, the shepherd tending the flock, the blacksmith wielding his hammer, fishermen casting their lines, miners extracting coal, farmers plowing their fields, bakers baking bread in the oven, and more. The scene captures life from two thousand years ago, with day and night cycles, the morning rooster’s crow, and thunder announcing storms as night falls.

At the heart of this scene, the magic springs from the nativity, celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, the central reason for Christmas.
