The courts of Espadel Burriana and the La Bosca pavilion will be the venues where the round of 32 and the round of 16 will be played

Burriana has become the European capital of padel. After the final rounds of the men’s and women’s preliminary phases on Thursday, the FIP Gold Satine Burriana padel tournament, an international FIP Star event with a prize pool of €24,000, will move on to the round of 32 and round of 16 on Friday.

From 9:00 AM (the first matches of the day) to 8:00 PM (when the last matches of the day start), the courts at Espadel Burriana and the La Bosca pavilion will host some of the best padel players in the world.

In the third morning session, the tournament’s top-seeded men’s pair, Iván Ramírez and Alejandro Arroyo, will face Jairo Bautista and Pablo García. At 12:45 PM, one of the local favorites, Juanlu Esbrí and Javier González from Castellón, will compete against Adrián Marqués and Dani Luna.

In the women’s draw, at 9:00 AM, the top-seeded pair, Bárbara Las Heras and Verónica Virsada, will play against Laia Carratalá and Marta Pérez in the round of 32.

The hotels are fully booked thanks to Padel Tournament

The Sunna Hotel Benicàssim, with 36 rooms, and the Hotel Bag Castelló, with 90 rooms, have been fully booked thanks to the event.

This 2022 edition is particularly special for Burriana, as it has transitioned from hosting a FIP Star event (where participants ranked from number 50 on the World Padel Tour) to a FIP Gold event (with only the top 16 players being excluded).
