Borriana raises 100,000 euros for the purchase of rapid COVID-19 tests.

This was thanks to contributions from the Satine Foundation, local entities, the Fallas Federation, companies, and various individuals.

The Satine Foundation was the main promoter and had already made an initial purchase and delivery of rapid tests. In this second round, it has again made another economic effort, in addition to the logistical support.

Among all the groups, a total of €68,849.55 was raised. The Satine Foundation contributed the remaining amount to reach the €100,000 goal.

Local bullfighting associations contributed €40,000, making them the most involved group apart from Satine, and the largest contributor by far compared to other groups. This clearly demonstrates the potential of the bullfighting world, as well as the solidarity within these communities.

The Fallas Federation raised €10,000 from its 2,800 members spread across 19 Fallas commissions.

Finally, various companies and citizens who donated directly to the Foundation contributed an additional €18,000.

The Satine Foundation has assured that the purchase of these tests will proceed immediately and that they will be used judiciously. The goal is to detect individuals who may be infected with the coronavirus to prevent the spread of the virus.
